The Trak t-1600 is the best faltboat in the world.
What does this mean? The oldest kayaks in the world, faltboats are collapsible kayaks in Hungarian. Or folding kayaks. The original Eskimo kayaks were made of sealskin and wooden braces. These are the oldest touring kayaks with the longest history.
I admired several of these old kayaks in the Eskimo Museum in Vancouver, and it is surprising how modern and beautiful they look when viewed from today's eyes.
So nothing new under the sun. With more and more modern materials, there is a serious competition between the world's folding kayak manufacturers to produce the best folding boat.
Why is Trak the best? Because it is fast, stiff, light and the fastest assembly I have seen was 6 minutes. It is fast because it is almost 5 meters long and rigid because the final movement of its assembly is the tensioning of the aluminum rod forming the lower life with a small hydraulic insert. With this tensioner, it was possible to reduce several bracing elements in the package. Thus, the number of elements decreased, but the stiffness increased. A very special, resistant tarpaulin cover is used for the kayak: the material stretches under the influence of great force. Thus, with the right tension, a boat with a curved bottom, i.e. a rocker, can be set up, which is more maneuverable and maneuverable, and behaves better in stronger waves. You can also set up a kayak with a straight bottom, which is faster on calm water, holds the direction better on flat and calmer waters, and the kayak has a longer waterline and a faster pace. The assembled pack consists of few elements, rolls on wheels, can be transported by plane and is eye-catching.
If you want to go kayaking to the Canary Islands or Rhodes, or sea kayaking in the Tasman Sea, there is no other good solution.
