Some comparative notes between Sea Tec and Dynamic Pro towlines
Both Dynamic Pro and Sea Tec use the H2prO Line in the 35′ size.
The Dynamic Pro 50′ version uses lighter weight and more dynamic polypropylene and is not available at Sea Tec.
Both are approximately the same physical size around the body / waist, however the Dynamic unfolds almost flat, providing little friction / drag (drogue) in the water, while the Sea Tec 'buckles' and potentially 'drogues' the victim in situations where the towing oarsman throws the victim out.
When paddling, the Dynamic is best re-stuffed / re-packed sitting and on top of a spray skirt as a table.
The Sea Tec has a pouch/sack in which the rope can be repacked on the water, making it suitable not only for sea kayaking but also for stand up paddle boarding.
