For me, an experienced but moderately skilled paddler, this is a great boat. It's wide enough for my large frame, has plenty of room for multiple days, and is easy to paddle once I get used to it. It feels wobbly when I sit in it, but once it's tilted 5-10 degrees or I start paddling, it settles in and feels rock solid. And it handles really well in 1-2 foot waves and boat wakes, and is very forgiving of heavy paddlers. It feels almost effortless to paddle to me, and goes as fast as I need it to. There are a few minor design features that I really hate… the cockpit is too short for easy entry and exit (at least with my long legs), the thigh hook design is stupid (why don’t they just cast them in instead of bolting them together as separate pieces?), the hatch and hatch cover design are weak, and the bilge is not deep enough. The latter is a basic, intentional design feature (according to the manufacturer), but I would like more crosswind support in a boat (more ballast in the aft compartment helps with that). All that aside, I’ll probably never get rid of this boat. It’s just too much fun to paddle.
